Field Irrigation by Sprinkling

This method of irrigating vegetable and grain crops is perfectly suited for a sprinkler boom. The quality of the water spray is ensured by high-tech sprinklers mounted on the boom. Their design allows for precise irrigation tailored to individual needs—meeting water intensity requirements while preventing surface runoff. Pressure regulators on each nozzle and calculated overlap zones ensure unmatched accuracy and uniformity, minimizing water loss through evaporation and wind drift. This enables gentle irrigation using a strip sprinkler even at low operating water pressure (1–2 atm) right after seedlings emerge, without damaging them.

ZDM Mounted Sprinkler Booms

IRRIGATION WIDTH 30–62 m

The mounted-type ZDM boom is transported together with the reel-type irrigation machine as a single unit. It is compact when folded, lightweight, and simple to operate—just one operator is enough. The irrigation boom uses a "folding spatial truss" design, with a structural boom length of 30–40 meters (depending on the model).

Mounted sprinkler booms from ZDM-Irrigation are compatible with reel-type irrigation machines from any brand thanks to their universal connection system—either central (three-wheel chassis) or side-mounted (five-wheel chassis).

ZDM Trailed Sprinkler Booms

IRRIGATION WIDTH 63–98 m

ZDM trailed booms use a "folding spatial truss" design with a swivel and pendulum mechanism on a four-wheel chassis. The boom length ranges from 63 to 77 meters, depending on the model. This design is one of the most effective, durable, reliable, and versatile irrigation solutions for crops such as potatoes, soybeans, alfalfa, sugar beets, and grains.

The ZDM boom is easy to maintain, and requires just 2 people to put it into operation. It is compatible with reel-type irrigation machines from any brand.

IRRIGATION WITH ZDM SPRINKLER BOOM

Different crops have different irrigation requirements. One key factor is droplet size. The impact force of a droplet—based on its mass and velocity—affects the soil and plant surfaces. Some crops, especially vegetables and small-seeded types, require gentler watering.

One of the key advantages of ZDM-Irrigation booms is their low working pressure (from 1.0 atm). Buying a ZDM sprinkler boom means being able to irrigate small-seeded vegetable crops immediately after sprouting—virtually eliminating soil crust formation.
